Thanksgiving Table: Furbish

To celebrate Thanksgiving this year, we've invited some of our favorite artists, designers, shop owners and tastemakers to create Thanksgiving table settings with their favorite objects and styles. If you're tired of the traditional golds and browns of Thanksgiving, you're going to love today's table, brought to you by Furbish, a Raleigh, NC-based shop specializing in luscious treats for the home. The table, styled by Furbish's owner, Jamie Meares, takes Thanksgiving's feast theme to the next level, with a maximalist cornucopia for the senses. — Max

I love over-the-top eye candy, and my signature style seems to fall somewhere between southern preppy and boho tribal goodness. With this table, I wanted to nod to my traditional southern roots while adding some Furbish flair with the details.

The tablecloth is a fun chinoiserie print we stock in the store — it always makes me smile with its vibrant pink color. You can buy a yard or two and transform a table for a party, and then make pillows when you're done! Extra fabric is perfect to hang on to for DIYs. The elephant place cards are from Furbish and are a great way to add some personality to the table. I love blue and white ginger jars, and they make the perfect vase for a preppy tablescape.  We sell the large ginger jars online, and the small ones are sold in sets of 4. The tortoise shell glasses keep the scene from feeling too girly (available online), and the gold pear vases add a festive element!
